Do you desire to have more faith?

“그러므로 믿음은 들음에서 나며 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 말미암았느니라”

2. 제목 : “Grow Your Faith.” (당신의 믿음을 성장시키세요)

Do you desire to have more faith? Scripture tells us that faith can grow and increase. Notice that today’s Scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It says that faith comes by hearing — in the present tense. We have to hear the Word of God over and over again in order for it to take root in our hearts and transform our minds. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant, but most of the time, our faith grows as we hear the Word of God again and again.

더 많은 믿음을 갖고 싶습니까? 성경은 믿음이 자랄 수 있고 증가할 수 있다고 말합니다. 오늘 성경에는 “믿음은 하나님의 말씀을 한 번 들음에서 나느니라”고 말하지 않습니다. 믿음은 들음에서 난다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 현재형입니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀이 우리 마음에 뿌리를 내리고 우리 생각을 변화시키기 위해서는 하나님의 말씀을 계속해서 들어야 합니다. 물론, 하나님의 말씀은 우리를 순식간에 변화시킬 수 있지만, 대부분의 경우 우리의 믿음은 하나님의 말씀을 반복해서 들을 때 자라납니다.

Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. The more you hear God’s Word, the more you know Him. The more you know Him, the more you will be able to believe Him — and that’s what faith is!

씨앗이 자라기 위해서는 매일 물이 필요하듯, 당신의 영도 매일 하나님의 말씀이 필요합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 더 많이 들을수록 당신은 그분을 더 많이 알게 됩니다. 당신이 그분을 더 많이 알수록 당신은 그분을 더 많이 믿을 수 있게 될 것입니다. 그것이 바로 믿음입니다!

Today, why don’t you choose a few Scriptures to meditate on? Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. Let the truth of the Word transform you and move you forward into the abundant life God has prepared for you!
